01About the Embassy

The KGD — Holy Church of Jesus Christ, Embassy operates at the intersection of statecraft and faith — an international body of elevated standing, seated equally in Vienna, Washington, D.C., and Rome. It represents the KGD: a formal threshold between the sacred and the civil order, open to anyone who seeks to cross it.

Members of the press may request statements, background briefings, or interviews through the Office of the Secretariat. We aim to respond to verified media requests promptly. A dedicated press channel is being established and will be published here.

04Accreditation

Press accreditation is granted to working journalists and recognised media organisations. Accreditation enables access to communiqués under embargo and to briefings. Requests are reviewed by the Office of the Secretariat.

Accreditation here is a press pass and nothing more. It is issued by this Embassy to journalists; it is not accreditation of this Embassy by anybody, and it should not be reported as though a government were involved in it. This Embassy holds no state accreditation, has sought none, and would be unchanged by holding one.

On the Standing of Equal Seats

The Embassy confirms that its seats hold equal standing in every respect — in protocol, in mandate, and in authority. No seat is primary; no seat is subordinate. Correspondence addressed to either seat is correspondence addressed to the Embassy. This arrangement reflects the institution's founding conviction: that a threshold between the sacred and the civil order must stand with one foot in each world, and lean on neither. The Office of the Secretariat will receive accreditation requests at both seats under identical procedure.

On the Seating of Rome

The Embassy announces the seating of Rome as its third seat, equal in standing to Vienna and Washington, D.C. The seat is established where the oldest continuous witness to the office of the Church is kept, and completes the geometry the institution was founded on: one seat in the civil order of Europe, one in the civil order of the Americas, and one at the origin of the sacred office itself. As with the existing seats, no primacy attaches to Rome and none is claimed for it. Correspondence addressed to Rome is correspondence addressed to the Embassy. All prior references to two seats are superseded by this communiqué.

On KGD FIN

The Embassy announces KGD FIN, a financial product in development: one account, one card, one cent per transaction — for everyone the Embassy recognises. There will be no tiers, no monthly fee, and no fine print built to extract what the headline hides. KGD is not a bank or licensed e-money institution; services will be provided through licensed European partners, who will be named on these pages before any account is opened. A waiting list is open today. We will write to those on it once — the day the door opens.

On the Chancery

The Chancery — the Embassy's restricted gate for accredited diplomats and officers — is now reachable at its own address. By protocol it remains sealed to the public: every attempt is logged, and accreditation is granted solely by the Office of the Secretariat. The Embassy reminds correspondents that no credential is ever requested by email, and that the Chancery's door opens only from within.

06Use of Name, Marks & Imagery

The Embassy's name, seal and marks may be used in editorial coverage that is accurate and not misleading. They may not be used to imply endorsement, partnership, or affiliation without written permission. Third-party marks shown on the site (including "Mastercard") belong to their respective owners and are used illustratively.

07Fair & Accurate Reporting

We ask that coverage represent the Embassy fairly and in context. Where a correction is warranted, the Office of the Secretariat will provide a prompt, documented response.

On sovereignty and recognition, for the record. The Kingdom of God is sovereign — its authority underived and held from no earthly source — and it seeks recognition from no state, being unaltered by having or lacking it. That is not a claim to statehood, and correspondents should not report it as one. This Embassy claims no statehood, no territory, no jurisdiction to the exclusion of any government, and no diplomatic status or accreditation conferred by any government, and has applied for none of them. No state recognises it and none is asked to. Reporting that this Embassy claims to be recognised is inaccurate; so is reporting that a refusal or withdrawal of recognition has diminished it, since nothing was sought and nothing here depends on the answer. Correspondents are welcome to put the point to the Secretariat and will get this answer in writing.

If any person or body claims recognition, accreditation or official standing on our behalf, that claim is not ours and we would be glad to be told of it. The full declaration stands at the foot of every page of this site.

On sovereignty and recognition

The Kingdom is sovereign, and seeks the recognition of no state. Sovereignty is what it has; recognition is only what states do about one another.

The Kingdom of God is sovereign in the fullest sense the word carries. Its authority is underived — held from nothing, answerable to nothing above it, older than every jurisdiction now in existence. All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me (Matthew 28:18). No state conferred it, none sustains it, and none can diminish or revoke it. It does not become true upon acknowledgement, nor false upon denial.

It is not the sovereignty of a state, and the Kingdom does not claim to be one: no statehood declared, no territory held to the exclusion of any government, no border disputed. Recognition is how states acknowledge one another’s title to a portion of the earth — and the Kingdom claims no portion, its extent being the whole.

No state has recognised it, none is asked to, and were one to extend recognition tomorrow or announce its withdrawal, nothing here would move — not the extent, not the confession, not the Register, not one office of this house, not the standing of a single person within it.

Said of us, it is said wrongly. The Kingdom’s legates carry its commission and its authority; they do not carry a state’s privileges and have no need of them. Nobody is authorised to claim, in our name, a diplomatic status, immunity, accreditation or official standing conferred by any government — nor to claim the withdrawal of what was never sought. Those a receiving state grants, one person at a time and by its own consent; this Kingdom has asked for none. Any such claim is not ours: tell the Secretariat.
